What is real estate litigation?
Real estate litigation comprises a wide variety of issues that flow from (typically) failed real estate transactions. The process generally starts with an attempt to resolve the issues through out of court resolution. The reality is, that many times, this is simply not possible. Depending on the nature of the issue, we determine whether it is more practical to commence an Action by way of a Statement of Claim, or an Application, by way of a notice of Application. Once the method of commencing the litigation is chosen, our lawyers assist with all steps from the drafting of pleadings to the conduct of trials or application hearings.
